Who is behind Carvalho Wellness?
Carvalho Wellness was founded by Rafael Carvalho, an active full-time firefighter and paramedic with over 14 years in emergency medicine. Rafael is also a Naturopathic Practitioner and Functional Blood Chemistry Analyst. Every supplement we carry is hand-selected by Rafael based on clinical standards and real patient outcomes.

Are you a real medical practice?
Yes. We are a functional medicine practice based in Norton, Massachusetts. We offer comprehensive blood work analysis, hormone optimization, peptide therapy, IV therapy, and personalized wellness protocols in addition to our curated supplement line.

Do you offer consultations?

How do you select the supplements you carry?
Rafael personally reviews every product we stock against strict clinical criteria including ingredient quality, dosage accuracy, bioavailability, and third-party testing. If it does not meet the standards we hold for our own patients, we do not carry it.

How are your supplements different from what I find on Amazon or at a health food store?
Most supplements sold online and in stores are underdosed, use cheap ingredient forms the body cannot absorb well, and contain unnecessary fillers and binders. Every product we carry uses premium branded ingredient forms including Albion chelated minerals, CarnoSyn Beta-Alanine, vitaMK7 K2, and TRAACS minerals. Are your products third-party tested?
Yes. Every supplement we carry is independently tested for purity, potency, and safety so you know exactly what you are getting.

Do I need a prescription to buy your supplements?

Every product at Carvalho Wellness carries a family name because every formula was chosen for a real person we love. These are not marketing names. They are personal.

Is the Progesterone Pro Cream safe to use without a doctor?
Bioidentical progesterone cream is generally well tolerated, but hormone products should always be used under the guidance of a qualified practitioner. We recommend booking a consultation with our team before starting any hormone protocol so we can review your labs and ensure the right approach for your body.

What is the difference between Lisa's Everlasting Estrogen and Progesterone Pro Cream?
Progesterone Pro contains USP-grade micronized bioidentical progesterone. Lisa's Everlasting Estrogen contains Bi-Est, a combination of Estriol and Estradiol. Many women benefit from both as part of a complete hormone optimization protocol. We recommend a hormone panel blood test before starting either product.

Can I take multiple supplements together?
Most of the supplements we carry are selected to work well together as part of a complete protocol. For stacking questions specific to your health goals, we recommend booking a consultation so we can review your needs and lab work.

How long until I see results?
This varies by product and individual. Most patients notice improvements in energy and mood within 2 to 4 weeks. Hormonal and metabolic changes typically take 60 to 90 days of consistent use. Blood work is the most accurate way to track progress. We recommend retesting at 90 days.

What is the GI Shield good for?
The GI Shield and Thyroid Formula was selected specifically for patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis and gut permeability issues. It contains L-Glutamine, D-Ribose, and a triple-concentrated Aloe Vera complex. Published clinical research has shown reduced thyroid antibodies with this type of protocol. It is one of the most clinically significant products we carry.
